Lebanon, PA - Mindfulness meditation classes are coming to the Greater Wellness Holistics Expo in Lebanon, PA. On September 13th, Cathy Lutz of Agape Mindfulness joins our vendor lineup to introduce guests to beginner-friendly meditation -- no experience, no cross-legged floor sitting, and no pressure to "stop thinking" required.

Meet Cathy Lutz of Agape Mindfulness

Agape Mindfulness was created to bring mindfulness meditation into the community in a way that is welcoming, practical, and accessible to everyone. Cathy is a mindfulness meditation teacher with a passion for helping people discover the benefits of slowing down, paying attention, and creating a little more space between what happens in life and how we respond to it.

Cathy's own practice has taught her that mindfulness isn't about making life perfect or eliminating difficult thoughts or emotions. It's about developing a steadier relationship with whatever life brings us. We learn to pause. We learn to breathe. We learn to notice. And, little by little, we become less controlled by the constant noise of our thoughts.

What Mindfulness Meditation Classes With Cathy Look Like

Through Agape Mindfulness, Cathy offers beginner-friendly mindfulness meditation groups, workshops, classes, and customized mindfulness experiences for individuals and communities.

Her approach is secular, compassionate, and down to earth. You don't need any previous meditation experience. You don't have to sit cross-legged on the floor. And you certainly don't have to stop thinking!

Instead, she teaches simple practices that help people develop focused attention, present-moment awareness, compassion, and inner stability.

Meditation can be as simple as sitting quietly and noticing the breath. When the mind wanders -- as every mind does -- we gently notice and return. That simple process is the practice.

There is no failure when the mind wanders. There is simply another opportunity to begin again.

Why Mindfulness?

We live in a world that constantly asks us to hurry, accomplish, respond, and move on to the next thing. Sometimes we become so accustomed to being busy that we forget what it feels like to simply be present.

Mindfulness gives us an opportunity to pause.

With regular practice, we can become more aware of our thoughts, emotions, habits, and reactions. We can begin to recognize when we're becoming overwhelmed or caught up in our thinking. Rather than automatically reacting, we create a little space to choose how we want to respond.

That space can be powerful.

Mindfulness can support greater calm, focus, emotional awareness, and self-resilience. It can help us cultivate the ability to remain present even when things aren't exactly as we'd like them to be.

Mindfulness for the Community

One of Cathy's goals with Agape Mindfulness is to make meditation feel less intimidating and more available to everyday people. You don't have to be a lifelong meditator. You don't have to be "good at relaxing." You simply have to be willing to pause.

She enjoys bringing mindfulness into community spaces where people already gather -- community events, workplaces, recovery settings, churches, small groups, coffee shops, and other organizations interested in creating healthier and more connected communities.

She also facilitates Mindful Skook, a free weekly community mindfulness meditation group where people can come together to learn and practice meditation in a welcoming environment
