Lebanon, PA - Plant-based meal delivery is coming to the Greater Wellness Holistics Expo in Lebanon, PA. On September 13th, Kristi Pennington of Savory Nutrition joins our vendor lineup with made-to-order, heat-and-eat meals built to be plant-based, low-calorie, and high-protein -- real food for people who don't have time to cook every night.
Meet Savory Nutrition -- Plant-Based Meals Made for Busy Schedules
Savory Nutrition LLC's mission is to provide delicious and affordable made-to-order plant-based meals to residents of south-central Pennsylvania, using textures and flavors that are familiar to the region. The idea is simple: eating clean shouldn't be complicated. Just heat and eat.
How Savory Nutrition Started
Savory Nutrition began as an idea from Donovan Carper and Amanda Voydik, who developed it through their work at Lancaster Wellness helping clients reach their weight loss goals. Kristi Pennington joined the team later, and with her drive and business know-how, the company's vision became a reality.
While working with clients trying to lose weight, the team noticed a pattern: many people were open to eating more plant-based meals but didn't know how to start. Other common roadblocks included cooking for one and dealing with the waste that comes with it, not having enough time, or simply not wanting to cook at all. Wanting to use every tool available to help clients reach their goals, the team created Savory Nutrition LLC to close that gap.
What's on the Menu
Savory Nutrition's rotating menu features made-to-order, grab-and-go meals and desserts, including dishes customers have specifically called out as favorites:
Veggie lasagna -- described by one customer as "the best plant food I have ever tasted"
Roasted red pepper hummus with cucumber and tomato
Brownies and other desserts for anyone with a sweet tooth
Every meal is designed around the same idea: plant-based, high-fiber, lower-calorie-density food that still tastes like the meals people already know and like.
Why Plant-Based, High-Fiber Meals?
According to Savory Nutrition, plant-based nutrition built around high-fiber, low-calorie-density foods has been linked in research to better outcomes for weight management, heart health, diabetes, and cancer prevention, among other benefits. Whatever the research shows long-term, the more immediate draw for a lot of people is simpler: plant-based eating that doesn't require becoming your own personal chef.
