Lebanon, PA - Rock's CardioBox and Fitness is a female-owned group fitness studio built around boxing, community, and the idea that fitness, nutrition, and mental well-being all belong in the same conversation. Founded by Rochelle "Rock" Meiskey, it's one of the vendors we're excited to spotlight ahead of this year's Greater Wellness Holistics Expo in Lebanon, PA.
Meet Rock
In 1996, Rochelle walked into a boxing gym hoping to build some self-confidence. A few weeks later she was in the ring with headgear and a mouthguard, and she was hooked — on the sport, on competing against herself as much as anyone else, and on the community that came with it. After her amateur competing days wound down, she kept training and became Les Mills certified in Body Combat, teaching classes at Gold's Gym and another local gym before eventually striking out on her own to teach CardioBox.
Today, 28 years after that first walk into a gym, Rock is Safe Sport certified, a Certified Personal Trainer, and a USA Boxing Green Level coach. Her mission hasn't changed since day one: to empower women in the community and help them find a healthy balance between fitness, nutrition, and mental well-being. The studio has since grown to welcome men, teens, and kids too, but that original mission still sits at the center of everything they do.
How Rock's CardioBox Got Started
The studio's roots are about as grassroots as it gets: a couple of friends hitting mitts together in a park. From there, they rented out the local Armory and pieced together enough to cover rent, then moved into Rising Sun Nutrition for their first official class — 20 people in a small fitness room. A year later, they'd outgrown that space and moved into a local warehouse for three years.
Today, Rock's CardioBox calls the Cimarron building in downtown Columbia home — a bright, clean studio with eight windows and a garage door. Class sizes are kept intentionally small, so members get real, personal attention instead of getting lost in a crowd.
